My name is Svetlana, and I have been knitting since childhood. A crochet hook first found its way into my hands at six, and knitting needles at fourteen. Since then knitting has been not just a hobby but a part of life: sweaters, dresses, socks, hats, lace doilies — all by hand, with attention to every detail.

At nineteen I discovered machine knitting. My good old BOND machine is still going strong — it came with me to Israel in 2000 and holds many warm memories.

Then life got busy, and knitting became a rare guest... until in 2023 my grown-up daughter Daniel said: "Mom, teach me to knit." That is where it all started again — only now together.

Daniel knitted her first toys, a scarf, a sweater — and got hooked! Especially on stylish shoppers made of cotton yarn, which we happily carry ourselves. So a new chapter of our family began — the Petel studio 💛
